Addiction conferences that accept gambling work
Gambling sessions are routine at the College on Problem of Drug Dependence (CPDD, June), the Research Society on Alcohol (June), the Society for the Study of Addiction's annual conference (UK, November), the International Society of Addiction Journal Editors meetings, and the behavioral-addictions programme of the International Conference on Behavioral Addictions (ICBA), which is the natural home for work on gaming, loot boxes and trading.
Getting on a program
Reviewers at the practitioner conferences want three things: a clear learning objective, something attendees can use on Monday, and evidence that the content is more than a literature summary. Preliminary data from a registered study beats a promised study. Illinois data at a Chicago conference, or Massachusetts data at a Boston one, is the strongest possible pitch.
